Altering my pieces for KIDS BOUNCE Project 2
Altering my pieces for KIDS BOUNCE Project 2
- with this piece, I altered the splashes in the background to become silhouettes of a child and his Dad- this looks a lot better and more creative/clever than my previous one
- I am unsure about the added text as I do not think the 'STOP THAT DOG' fits well - I think I will just stick to 'DOGGY GOT MY POO' as this is actually said in the story itself
- perhaps the child's mouth could be extended more as this can add an exaggeration to the piece
- decided to remove the silhouette of the Dad as I felt like having one silhouette only was more effective
- perhaps I could curve the other splash so it does not face upwards as much?
- much happier with this piece, love the outcome! I would say this piece is 90% done now!
- decided to try out my own personalised font that I made in Project 1
- I do not like this at all! It does not go nicely with the piece
- my own handwriting that I just did there and then worked better as it felt more rough and personal. Despite this font being my own handwriting, it does not have the same effect
- I will leave this font in Project 1 only
- my previous version of the mannequin story had added text that was not mentioned. I decided to alter this after having a discussion with Sarah where she provided me with a range of ideas
- my favourite idea that was generated was having a view of the loft with the stairs down where a scary mannequin is seen above
- I did reference a child's mannequin, however, I can always modify this again if it still does not look like a child
- I love the power stance of the mannequin. Having it amongst the darkness of the loft adds a scary touch to it. This is then complimented by the cobwebs as well as being positioned above the view - makes the mannequin look powerful
- I then decided to add silhouettes to the piece. Having the Dad point at the mannequin tells a story. This is then supported by the appearance of the two young girls.
- one young girl has her hands on her ears which gives the impression that she is screaming
- I do love the way this has turned out. However the only thing I do not like is that it is not really my style
