Adding more illustrations to my book - PROJECT 1
Adding more illustrations to my book - PROJECT 1
- after a tutorial, I altered spelling errors as well as making the pieces more interesting
- having frequencies in the background of the moth adds to what is being said and makes it appear less 'plain'
- I also altered the ear piece into a horn for the naked mole rat as this is more obvious - I could also add the whole body in for this too!
- I much prefer these as they are more effective and creative
- after hearing, I tackled hair
- I added gloves and a scarf on the Sphynx cat as this is associated with what is being said - it also makes it more interesting rather than having a simple Spyhnx cat by itself
- I made the cat more large due to it fitting my style more
- to contrast to the Sphynx cat, I focused on Angora rabbits and made the hair comically large
- this is effective and I do not think it needs anything else added to it
- unsure if I have stated this previously but I have switched the layout around to make negative traits having the illustrations below whereas positive traits have the illustration below
- I am thinking of experimenting with colour - negative traits have red font whereas positive traits have a green font
- I love the concept but this is now a child friendly book so I cannot include things like this
- I also do not want the book to be triggering - it may be triggering in the text but rather than using words that are direct to the matter, I phrased it differently
- I do like the layout and how the illustration is done though
- definitely prefer this piece - less triggering
- represents love
- simple and straight to the point
- additional text has humour to it relating to the fact
- humour
- I love the additional of the book - adds character and is not boring
- the facial expression of the platypus looks amused and interested which fits the fact very well
IMPORTANT NOTE
After experimenting with placement, I realised that the gap I left at the side of each illustration is wrong as ofcourse when constructing the book, the gap will not be the same for both sides. I have altered this.
